NEWMOOR VEAL - What and where?

Newmoor Veal is a new venture on the farm to utilise the male calves from the dairy herd.
This venture will run alongside their current ice cream business 'Archers Jersey Ice-cream' which has been operating since May 2004, using milk from the pedigree 300 cow Jersey herd.

The business has now been expanded to bring together the strength of three local agricultural businesses, Newmoor Veal is run by Moor and Dale Limited, with the partners being John Archer, Sarah Liddle and Adrian Harrison. Adrian Harrison of Hillside Jerseys at Thornton Rust near Leyburn milks 120 Jerseys on the family farm, they will supply calves to the business, aiming to help with a constant supply as John and Sue do block calve the herd. Sarah Liddle of The Farm Organisation at Newton Le Willows has been involved with the marketing, branding, promotion and operation of Newmoor Veal since the beginning and will continue to front the business as the third partner- this new structure will hopefully take the business forward.
